It’s Friday. It’s August, and I live in Florida. That’s pretty much the only explanation this outfit needs. It’s also my excuse for photographing indoors in poor lighting again.

Today’s outfit was a bit of a last-minute idea. Also, I had to take the photo inside because of the feral kittens that live in our yard. I couldn’t bring myself to wake them up this morning; they were laying on our deck.

This dress was another great Dress Barn find. I got it at the same time as last week’s vintage looking floral frock. It came with the belt, so I’ve got a finished look once I add some sexy shoes.

I’m really pretty much a schlub on the weekends most of the time, but this past weekend, I really wanted to make an effort to look a little more pulled together. I love the slightly nautical look of this outfit.

Sometimes being a bargain shopper means shopping in stores that embarrass you. Case in point: Dress Barn. They have a horrible name, but usually I can find a cute dress for a good price. This floral number was on clearance, and they were running a sale on dresses. Can’t beat that! I mean, just look at that gorgeous watercolor print!
Also, sorry for the poor picture quality. The camera lens got fogged when I went from the A/C into the muggy outdoors. Gotta love Florida summers. : S
